KFC, Worthing – A/C & Refrigeration Cold Store

We were asked to provide air conditioning and refrigeration installation, including walk in chillers and freezer for this new KFC restaurant in Worthing Town Centre, West Sussex. This project included air conditioning for the kitchen and lobby areas as well as a walk in freezer room and two walk in coldrooms for food storage.

Works Undertaken: Air conditioning and refrigeration installation including two walk in chillers and freezer for the restaurant and kitchen areas.

Air Conditioning

For this project we installed a Daikin twin split system with two roundflow cassettes in the restaurant area. The fascia’s on these units where professionally sprayed to match the current KFC specification. In the kitchen we installed a Daikin ducted fan coil unit with spot cooling vents. All units where installed with Daikin Madoka controllers so the end user can access the remote via Daikin bluetooth app.

Refrigeration

We installed and supplied two walk in coldrooms and one walk in freezer. Coldroom panels were made by Colsec and installed onsite.

We used Danfoss Opytma Plus condensing units and Searle KEC evaporators for our refrigeration equipment. For refrigeration control, we used Carrel Mastercellar control panels.

All of the equipment we have used will enable the Walk in Freezer to run down to -21 degrees and the Walk in Coldrooms to run down to 1 degree.
